last post for yr 2007~*

Had a sleepover at Xj's place on fri with e rest of e JC gang.. Watched Nati0nal Tre@sure 2 at e cinema b4 tt.. It's a v nice show, with riddles/puzzles like Da Vinci C0de but less complexing.. Feel like watching e 1st movie.. (^_^)

Anw, it was a night of games, drinks & laughter (din wake up e neighbours.. i tink).. In e end, i still dun like vodka (tt was supposed to be e punishment), but root beer's nice.. Haha~ Some went back in e wee hours of e morning, so no grp pics la.. Hope we can have this every year!

1 dumb thing i did: bath w/o switching on e heater.. *brrr* But then, i tink nowadays we r too 养尊处优.. When we visited my grandparents at their old kampong house, i rem there was no heater & every1 bathed with cold water, so y is heater a necessity now? It's not as if there's winter in sg rite? (Though said, i'm still using my heater.. oops~)

Was never a spaghetti person, cuz of e cheese & beef balls.. e last time i made was spaghetti with meatballs in sec Home Ed class.. Besides, i never could rem which is Bolognese (tomato & meat sauce) or Carbonara (cream sauce).. But recently, grown a liking to it, so decided to try it out today (cuz by making on my own, i can omit e stuff i dun like.. hehe~) My mum din like e sweetness of e sauce, so she made hers with tom yam soup (wa, fusion leh!)

Won tix to Zai Zai's showcase @ Drag0nfly on X'mas eve! Was kinda hard finding pple at last min's notice, cuz either they're not free (it's x'mas eve, what u expect?) or not interested in zai zai.. haiz~ Well, at last we made it there, & luckily, they let tix winners in 1st.. yay~ Tried taking some videos of his live singing, but dunno y, e recorded sound din come out well.. so either e machines's at fault or i'm a lousy camera-woman.. haha~

Was taking e train home one day, where there are less pple & not so crowded.. got myself a nice spot by e window.. Caught a nice view of e evening sky, which is different from e recent rainy days.. (^_^)
Interesting thing i saw while at a petrol station.. What's "naked lights"??? my cousin guessed it means flames.. Why can't they just be straight-forward with it?

1st wk @ work..

Been thru my 1st wk as an official "white-collar", which is a weird stereotype, cuz sometimes i wear black too.. *lame* Work environment's gd (got pantry), & e colleagues r nice (brought me ard for lunch).. Juz hope i can rem their names soon.. sometimes u can tok alot wif e person not knowing his/her name at all.. haha~ Still trying to find lunch dates, cuz every1 seems to be working in tanj0ng pagar.. & well, r@ffles place to me is still new, & i kinda lose my direction sense once i step out of e mrt.. (^_^") Some1 shld propose to set up a compass there or at least some road signs like those at tourist attractions..

what i've learned in my 1st wk:

pace of life in e CBD area is hectic, even e traffic lights change fast

new excel functions, more than what i've learned in sch

witnessed e 'get-squeezed/pushed-into-e-mrt' phenomenon

lunch crowd is scary.. oh, & there's e 'tissue-paper-chop-seat' culture too..

there's casual friday at my office (aka "dress-down fri")
